Players Age

Players must be in grades 9, 10 or 11

2026 TRYOUT LOCATIONS

Tryouts will be held in the Dome at Shouldice Athletic Park.

2026 TRYOUT DATES

Tryouts will begin on February 19, 2026.

Equipment

Tryouts - Athletic wear, water bottle, cleats. Optional: mouthguard, gloves

Season - All required football equipment is provided, with the exception of cleats and a girdle, which are the responsibility of the player

Season

The Spring football season starts in March and runs through May, including playoffs

Games are typically played on Thursday or Friday at Shouldice

Practices

Practices will begin in March, once the team is picked and will be held three times per week:

On Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday if the game is Thursday or

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday if the game is scheduled on Friday

Practices: Shriners Field - 5225 101 Street NW

Games: Shouldice Athletic Park - 1515 Home Road NW

Fees

An $85.00 team tryout fee is required for all potential players when signing up for tryouts (through TeamSnap).

Before participating in on-field activity, all potential players must register with the Calgary Spring Football Association (through RAMP) who will collect Football Alberta Insurance and League Fees. (More information will be provided for registered players prior to tryouts).

The balance of spring football season team fees will be collected once the team is selected and before equipment is issued.
